 Language is a very important key in communication. This communication built upon language has then the power to express various ideas and stances on a subject. A grand conflict t that has occurred the past couple decades would be women's equality. Many express themselves and their beliefs via protests by voicing out their opinions and very strong beliefs. Language is used on posters and sayings such as "we can do it" and others to demonstrate empowerment and contradict the societal norms already placed. The use of their powerful protests strategies challenges the status quo in the sense that it combats against what was placed by those around.
