  Advertisements are seen and placed in just about any situation anywhere. Some tv shows for example may display a certain item infront of have it alot which is how they advertise for it. Although most would consider advertisements to just be objects, ideas may also be put out to persuade the audience of something. For example, many kid/teen shows may demonstrate the kids acting or wearing something that catches their eye. If a child is exposed to rebelious kids on television, the kid might try to copy that ideal since it was seen as 'cool'.
